Michael was born in a suburb of Boston, named Needham, Massachusetts.  In 1984, he relocated to the Central Florida area, where he put down roots.  He and his family are longtime residents of the Sugarmill Woods community in Citrus County, Florida.  As an active volunteer in his community, he helped mentor youths as the Pack leader for the local Cub Scout pack.  Michael was also elected and served as treasurer for the Cypress Village Property Owners Association, one of the largest HOA's in the state of Florida.  With this effort, he was able help the community reduce costs and increase cash reserves, allowing for the purchase and construction of a brand-new community association building.

Michael has been a financial professional for more than twenty years.  He is an Investment Adviser Representative with Kovack Advisors and a Registered Representative (broker) with Kovack Securities, Inc.  He is also a Certified Estate Planner, and the president and founder of a Florida Insurance agency named:  Meridian Financial Services, LLC.

Michael is well aware of the challenges facing current retirees and those approaching their retirement years.  Using his wealth of experience, he helps clients evaluate and navigate the risks and uncertainty; while working towards their financial goals and objectives.

Estate planning is comprised of the financial estate and the legal estate.  An estate consists of all the things you may own, control or have an interest in; whatever it is worth, and wherever it is located.  As a Certified Estate Planner, Michael coordinates, assist and works with legal and tax professionals to maximize estate outcomes, both while you are alive and after your demise.  Specific topics of focus are:  Estate conservation, Legacy protection for spouses and heirs, Legal tax avoidance, Income assurance, Long-term-care considerations.

When not at the office, Michael and his family enjoy the great outdoors; visiting many of Florida’s abundant crystal-clear springs, for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and scuba diving.  Florida past times also include Hiking, mountain bike riding and of course beach time.  As a born Yankee, Michael looks forward to the winter, getting outside of Florida for the cold weather fun of skiing, snowboarding, and sledding with his family.  Although Michael likes helping fruits and vegetables grow in his garden, client portfolios growth is really his passion.
